Many times I wonder...

What will happen next?

Then I end up missing

Today's present text.

I dream of the future,

And all that it could hold.

In the meantime, the minutes of my days go by...

Am I hunting for fool's gold?

For you see, there is a treasure.

One that is easily missed.

It is the treasure of the present.

Sent by God and heaven-kissed.

If I will embrace this gift

Of Today given to me,

The results could be amazing...

Something for all to clearly see!

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You that You are Good.  

Thank You that You are in Control.  

And thank You that You are Trustworthy.  

Thank You that You are Faithful.  

Thank You that Your Love never ends.  

Thank You that You are Just and always Worthy of our thanks and praise.  

You never change, Lord.

Thank You for this day You have given us.

Thank You that we will never have this day again.

It is a gift, and You want us to use it wisely.

You want Your children to rely on You in this day.

Thank You that You Love us, and You have a plan and a purpose for each person that belongs to You.

Lord, I ask that You would help me and my brothers and sisters in Christ 

to live to love You...

to know You...

to worship You...

with all of our hearts, our minds, our strength...

every minute of every day, 

with every breath that we take.

We need You.

We need You more than anything or anyone else on this earth.

But it is so easy to forget that with all of the distractions of this world.

Lord, I ask that we would reach out to each other in Godly love.

We need each other.

Lord, I ask that You would unify Your church in the Love of Jesus Christ.

May we see not as the world sees, but as You see, Lord.

For man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7)

Lord, strengthen my brothers and sisters in Christ that are suffering for Your name's sake around the world. 

Fill them with Your Spirit, and Comfort them with Your Love.  May Your presence be their Joy, and May you give them peace as they continually lift their cares to You.

Heavenly Father, thank You again for Your Love!

We love You so much!  But we want to love You more!  Please lead us so that we may learn to love you with all of our lives.

May our sacrifice to You be thanksgiving and praise, 

a joyful heart, 

and a willing spirit 

as we follow You 

TODAY.

In Jesus' Name Amen!"
